REVAMPING WORK ON MACHINERY
REVAMPING WORK ON MACHINERY
Since 2012, the year in which CGS Automazione srl was established, it has always carried out revamping work on machinery that is no longer recently built. The sectors in which it operates are many, but specifically it specializes in the modernization of vacuum systems for objects and roll to roll.
The company has extensive know-how in these sectors given the decades of experience of its engineering staff on these plants. This staff is partly from the Galileo Vacuum System.
The revamping is carried out by viewing the machinery through an inspection at the customer or through the customer’s photographic collection that allows us to have as much information as possible about the machine, in order to be able to reconstruct its history.
Then begins a feasibility study phase and its modalities, to arrive at the issue of a quotation for the implementation of the modernization work.
The offer traditionally includes electrical work on the new electrical panel, the new wiring on the machine, the reconstruction of the pneumatic system, where also mechanical maintenance of the system is required, with overhaul of the pumping organs, valves, search for leaks with our instrumentation.
At the time of approval of the offer, all the materials are prepared, the panel and pneumatic parts are assembled, everything is tested at our company and then sent to destination by the customer after testing.
At the customer, two of our technicians in charge begin to dismantle the old panel and electrical system on the machine and then start the new installation, positioning the panel, passing the new control cables etc. operations that normally take 2 working weeks.
Once the electrical assembly has been completed, the panel turns on and the testing of the pumping components begins, performing vacuum cycles without production. After that you start moving the planetaries, heat the sources, try the ion discharge power supply. Finally, the machine starts to be tested automatically by calibrating the various phases of the cycle for their correct functioning to obtain the desired production.
Testing operations typically last 1 working week.
The example listed above is for Batch type machines for the metallization of objects, for roll to roll machines the methodology is the same, only the execution times of the activities vary.
The software used is open-source, our technicians are able to perform changes requested by the customer to customize the machine, furthermore all the panels are equipped with remote assistance via VPN router, guaranteeing the end customer constant assistance in the case of problems.
